Technical Difficulties
Well, now I get what everyone's been talking about with Blogger being down this week. I see that a couple of my past posts never even happened! GAH! Darnit. Well, in times like this, my only choice is to post things like this:

Eisley Video For 'Smarter'
Just a pretty music video from Eisley, thought I'd spread the word that they put it out today. Love the color, it's not a complicated video but seems to represent the band and the song quite well. Wish the mtvU site had credits. If you know who made it, give me a shout out!

Musical Wonders Vol. 30
Whenever I'm scouting material for this segment I usually get drawn into the neatly packaged/marketed indie music that spreads so nicely on social media. They've usually got a lot to do with design, animation, etc, via their music videos and album art. I also am always on the look out for musicians that simply seem to conjure visuals innately through their sound.
Every now and then, I come across something like this- great music produced by great talent and incidentally, great youth! It doesn't have to come in a shiny, shrink wrapped package to be significant to the creative discussion- it is creativity is its most genuine form.
Jonny Mizzone age 8 on banjo, Robbie Mizzone age 12 on fiddle, and Tommy Mizzone age 13 on guitar. Keep rockin kids, you're awesome!

In other music news, new Death Cab song streaming now... (I'm starting to think this segment should be a weekly music round-up...we'll see where it goes!)
